NatureDiverse is a 14 - month Erasmus+ project running from 01/12/2025 to 31/01/2027.

  • About NatureDiverse

    Nurturing Inclusive Learning through Nature-Based Education for Neurodiverse Children is an Erasmus+ project that promotes inclusive education through nature-based learning for children with autism and other neurodiverse profiles. Partners from Cyprus, North Macedonia, and Croatia are working together to develop practical resources and training that help educators create supportive, engaging and sensory-aware learning environments.

  • Duration

    Running from 01/12/2025 to 31/01/2027, the project aims to strengthen wellbeing, participation, autonomy and social development through inclusive outdoor learning.

  • Erasmus+ Action

    NatureDiverse is implemented under Erasmus+ KA210-SCH, Small-scale partnerships in school education. This action is designed to support cooperation between European partners in developing practical solutions for school education. Through this framework, NatureDiverse combines resource development, teacher training, and dissemination activities to promote inclusive and sustainable education practices across Europe.

OBJECTIVIES

Develop Inclusive Nature-Based Activities:

Create a structured pool of outdoor learning activities tailored to the needs of children with autism and other neurodiverse learners.

Strengthen Teachers’ Competences:

Provide specialized training and practical guidance to educators to support inclusive, nature-based learning in preschool and primary school settings.

Promote Inclusion and Wellbeing:

Enhance children’s access to supportive, engaging, and sensory-friendly learning environments that foster autonomy, communication, and social skills.

Encourage Cross-Cultural Exchange:

Facilitate cooperation between European partners to share good practices, expertise, and innovative approaches to inclusive education.

MEET OUR PARTNERS

NatureDiverse brings together organisations with expertise in research, autism support, inclusive education and nature-based learning.

  • Partners

    NatureDiverse brings together four partner organisations from Cyprus, North Macedonia and Croatia, combining expertise in research, inclusive education, autism support, and nature-based learning. Together, the partners contribute complementary knowledge and practical experience to support the development of inclusive educational resources, teacher training and sustainable project results.

  • Vimodo Ltd (Coordinator)

    Vimodo is a research and education organisation based in Nicosia, Cyprus. As project coordinator, it brings experience in designing and implementing educational programmes, together with strong expertise in inclusion, accessibility and work with individuals with autism. Through this combination of research and training experience, Vimodo supports the effective coordination and development of the NatureDiverse project.

  • Growing & Learning “Tree-gether” Forest School

    Growing & Learning “Tree-gether” Forest School is an award-winning Forest School kindergarten in Cyprus, where nature is the classroom for children aged 3–5. With roots in a programme first developed and piloted in 2017 under the auspices of Frederick University, the school has long-standing expertise in outdoor education, forest pedagogy, sustainability and free play. In addition to its daily educational work, Tree-gether offers sessions for children, school visits and training opportunities for teachers, parents, and students.

  • Sina Svetulka

    Sina Svetulka is an autism-focused organisation in North Macedonia dedicated to supporting individuals with autism and their families. Its expertise in autism-related issues brings valuable insight into the specific needs of neurodiverse children and helps ensure that project activities are inclusive, relevant, and responsive. Through its experience and advocacy work, Sina Svetulka contributes important knowledge to the project’s educational and awareness-raising aims.

  • Centar za Autizam (CZA)

    Centar za Autizam (CZA) is a government organisation based in Zagreb, Croatia, providing educational, vocational, and social services to individuals with autism, people with learning disabilities, and their families. Its work includes preschool and primary school education, assisted living support for adults, summer programmes, and workshops for parents and siblings. CZA also provides professional support to teachers working with students with ASD in mainstream schools, bringing strong practical expertise in autism education and inclusion to the project.
